The National AMBUCS Conference is being held at the Beau Rivage Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, MS on September 30 – October 3, 2015. This is right on the beach with an attached casino. This will be a great event so mark your calendars for Sept 30 – Oct 3!

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. provided new DeWalt cordless drills to our club as a donation to our ramp-building program. We have been using DeWalt products for over 20 years. We certainly appreciate their donation and their recognition of our ramp-building program, in building over 500 ramps for individuals with disabilities in the McLean County area for the past 30 years.
The 2014 National Conference will be held on October 29 thru November 1, 2014, in St Louis, MO. Save the dates! More details to follow as they become available.
Al Bedell of the Cornbelt Chapter of AMBUCS is running for National President-Elect.
Application is available February 10 through April 15, 2014. AMBUCS Scholarships for Therapists are available as an online application. Students must be enrolled in an accredited program for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology or hearing audiology.
Chapter sponsored scholarship applications also due April 15, 2014.

Cornbelt AMBUCS has one fund raiser each year – the Pancake and Sausage Breakfast. The next one is Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 8:00 am – 11:00 am. It is held at the Second Presbyterian Church, 313 N. East St, Bloomington, IL.
Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. There will pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffee, milk and juice.
The Cornbelt AMBUCS Awards Banquet was held on May 2, 2013. Attending were our three scholarship winners. Larry Turilli of the Scholarship Committee presented the awards. More ->

Were you at Fall Conference, September 28 and 29? Cornbelt AMBUCS™ hosted the Regional Fall Conference this year at the Holiday Inn and Suites. The Holiday Inn and Suites was an excellent facility and the food catered by Baxter’s was outstanding. 50% of our club members attended. We hosted over 75 attendees. GREAT TURNOUT!! Our Regional Director Larry Windingland along with Al Bedell and many other Cornbelt AMBUCS™ worked to organize and coordinate this event and it was tremendous.
At our August monthly meeting, our newest member was sworn into the Cornbelt Chapter and received his AMBUCS pin. Here is Don Stogsdill, Cornbelt President, welcoming Don Barnard as the newest member of the Cornbelt Chapter.
