Ramp – August 07, 2019

We got a call from a lady that lives in Bloomington that needed a ramp at her home as she was recuperating from major surgery.  Her doctors told her that she would not be able to return home unless she had a ramp as she was not able to walk on her own.  We stopped at her home, took some measurements, and took the site plan to her at the local rehabilitation facility.  We got the materials and were able to build the ramp prior to her being released from the rehabilitation facility.  She came home, “wheeled” up to her back door, and was quite pleased with the results.  Although this was a small ramp that we built, I’m quite certain that this made a BIG difference in her ability to get back to her own home.  I’m glad we were able to help her by making her home accessible and she was very happy to be able to complete her recovery in the comfort of her own home.  Nice work, AMBUCS!
